In case you will have virus on your phone antivirus will alert you,
and will advise you to clean the virus using the 'fix' button.
we suggest you to run a 'scan packages', 'scan settings', 'scan media' and 'scan content' once in a while.

Problem with Fix button

Q: "I clicked the fix button, but nothing happend":
A:You should try the following:
1) Press menu and select Scan Packages
2) Press menu and select Scan Settings
3) Press menu and select Scan Content
4) Press menu and select Scan Media
After doing the above 4 steps, email us which of the following items above are not successful and we will be able to let you know what to do next.

Update frequency question

Q: "when you go into 'settings' and adjust it for once a day,
does it do a scan while the phone is off over nigte or when I turn it on the next day?"
A:When you modify the 'Update frequency ' on the settings menu you only change how often antivirus will go and bring new updates. the antivirus scan only when you click the capsule icon, or 'Scan Packages' or install new software package.

Suspecious item found under 'Scan Content'

Q:"Ok it says I found a suspecious item under 'Scan Content'." how do I fix it since fix buttton don't work for me
A: It depend on which update version you have on your G1
please go into antivirus screen ,press menu, settings, and write down the update version under 'update now'--> current update version. in case its 1.5.1 we all have a problem ,
you will have to set up the update preference to daily ( under the settings menu) and reboot your phone

SafeSMS

Q: What does SafeSms do ?
A: SafeSms monitors incoming Text messages for suspicus content to help the user respond. It also monitors the websites visited by the defualt browser for phishing sites. The program also allows the user to report and block spam text messgages, and report suspected scam sites.

Q: How do I use the text messages Report and Block?
A: Go to the sms screen - the program shows all your incoming Text. long click on one of the sms messages, a menu will pop up with options. you can now block the sender or report the sms content as Spam.

Q: How do I report a scam site?
A: Go to the Url screen, click on the offending url and click report.

Q: How do I disable the the automatic sms scanner?
A: From the main screen, click the menu button, select settings. Click on the Text messages checkbox.
